Shade Tolerant Plants
Shade Tolerant Plants

Selecting shade tolerant plants

Plants listed here will tolerate shady locations. All will thrive on the north side of a house. Flowering and fruiting plants will produce more fruits and flowers when planted in light to medium shade than they will in heavy shade. Plants growing in heavy shade will generally have a more open, naturalistic appearance.
