On Friday, June 8th, the Falmouth Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS) will be holding its 16th annual Feasts of Falmouth and Beyond fundraiser. The family-friendly event will be held at Mahoney’s Garden Center in East Falmouth. Over two dozen Upper Cape restaurants and chefs will participate in this event, which will be held from 5 -7 p.m. New this year will be optional taste tickets for Cape Cod Beer and Cape Cod Winery offerings.

This year’s offerings range from oysters on the half shell (Epic Oyster), lobster taco bites and pea greens salad (Quick’s Hole Tavern), cold tuna spring roll (Red’s at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel), lobster bisque (Seafood Sam’s), beef short rib sliders (The Coonamessett), meatballs and chipotle chicken wings (The Lanes Bowl and Bistro), chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and summer crumble pies (Washashore Bakery), beef brisket slider (West Falmouth Market), pizzas (Supreme Pizza), assorted wings (DJ’s Wings), apple cider donuts (Jack in the Beanstalk), homemade fudge (Ghelfi’s Candies), and homemade ice cream (Polar Cave). These items—and many more—will be served in appetizer-size portions. In addition to the great variety of food, patrons will be able to buy a ticket that includes samples of local brews from Cape Cod Beer and wines from Cape Cod Winery. The event is held outdoors among the flowering trees and plants in full bloom at Mahoney’s Garden Center. In the case of rain, the event will be moved indoors at Mahoney’s in the main greenhouse area.

As the largest fundraiser for Falmouth VIPS, proceeds benefit training and support for the district’s 1,000 volunteers and critical program supported by VIPS including youth mentoring, health and wellness initiatives, and programs promoting financial literacy and career preparedness.
