Storage Tips:

The storage environment has everything to do with how long grass seed will remain viable. Seeds last the longest when they are kept under consistently cool and dry conditions. Grass seed keeps best in a location such as a dry basement where the temperature stays above freezing but below 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and the relative humidity stays below 60 percent. Check stored seed periodically for moisture and rodent damage.

If rodents are a known issue in your storage area (or even if they aren’t), it’s never a bad idea to place seed bags in tightly sealed containers such as galvanized trash cans. You can even place Mouse or Rat Magic in the area to help deter rodents from your grass seed.

If stored in a cool, dry place, grass seed can last for two to three years. Learn More Here!
