Mahoney’s Garden Center in Winchester is our flagship location and the first Mahoney’s, originally known as Mahoney’s Rocky Ledge for the stunning rock ledge that frames the nursery. As the largest and most diverse garden center in the Greater Boston Area, we offer a huge selection of annuals, perennials, houseplants, shrubs, and trees, including several large specimens. Our extensive garden shop features pottery, gifts, and furniture. This location also includes a full-service florist providing stunning arrangements for special occasions and meaningful events, including wedding flower installations.

We are only 8 miles from downtown Boston and located on Route 3A just three miles south of Interstate 95 (128). There is plenty of parking, accessible restrooms, and delivery available for trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulk products, including mulch, loam, and compost. Additionally, The Farmstand at Mahoney’s offers fresh local produce, choice meats and cheeses, fresh-squeezed orange juice, hot coffee and cold brew! Get your coffee, landscape your yard, and get your groceries all in one stop!

Pet-friendly? 

Yes, leashed dogs are welcome, but please be mindful of our aging feline friend, affectionately known as Abby the Crabby Tabby.

While you’re in the neighborhood

Make sure to explore some of our team’s favorite local spots! For a nice meal, we love Sogno just down the street in Woburn or Cafe Escadrille in nearby Burlington. In Winchester Center you’ll find loads of restaurants including Blackhorse Tavern and Lucia’s Ristorante and several unique boutiques and shops. For kiddos who were very patient during shrub shopping, stop by the adorable Catch a Falling Star toy shop. And while downtown don’t miss the Griffin Photography Museum. For nature lovers, our Winchester location is very close to the beautiful Horn Pond as well as The Fells. For sweet treats, visit the Gingerbread Construction Company for a coffee and muffin. Other local favorites include Krave at Horn Pond Plaza and D’Agostino’s Deli in Downtown Winchester for great sandwiches!
