I always have an outstanding experience visiting & purchasing from Mahoney’s! Recently I visited the Winchester store concerning my Autumn Moon Japanese Maple tree that “sadly” I relocated.
Cory, who is knowledgeable, experienced, professional and sincere assisted me in finding the necessary products to care for my Japanese Maples and newly purchased hydrangeas! I LOVE Mahoney’s!

For a birthday, holiday or "just because", I head to Mahoney's for the most beautiful bouquets! The staff are so friendly both in person and over the phone. I have ordered several custom made bouquets while also purchasing pre made ones every year. Whether I show a inspiration photo or allow the florists creative freedom, I have always left in awe of the bouquet and excited to come back!
Always leave with something. They have excellent plants and very knowledgeable people to help out. Even just to walk around and check everything out, makes for a pleasant afternoon.

This is a huge garden center, you can almost find everything inside or outdoor! They sell garden tools as well, birding stuffs, pottery and seeds! I was looking for mint seeds, they probably sold out.
Excellent help provided today at Mahoney's Winchester. Joe, Jim, and Ray got creative to get our beautiful tree safely wrapped, secured and into our car. We weren't sure if it was going to fit, but it was expertly maneuvered into our vehicle and has arrived home safe and sound. Appreciated the planting guide the staff provided as well so we can set our tree up for success. Safe to say we're customers for life.

I love this garden store. They have a huge selection of plants. All the staff are great. Cory in the barn area helped me find a storage container for my hose and some other things. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Mahoney’s garden store!

Mahoney's is a staple in the Allston-Brighton community. They recently renovated this location, making it even more beautiful, expansive, and full of options than it already was! The staff is the best. The plants are well-cared for. I recommend this store to anyone who loves gardening.

The Winchester Mahoney's is pretty large and has a ton of options. My favorites are the tomatoes and peppers. So many flower options, too! I ordered some patio furniture online and Kevin was so helpful finding a way to get it in my car. Always a pleasant experience.

Excellent customer service!
Earlier today I drove out to the Winchester store looking to purchase soil and a few (small) things. But, as happens at nurseries, I decided to purchase a tree. And I wanted a special one. So I asked the young man at the register to page someone, which he did. And I waited, and waited, and waited. Ultimately, someone named Joel—not the man who was originally paged—came by and asked if I needed help, which I did. We then spent a long time together, walking through the evergreens, which is where I started, and ending in the Japanese Maples. We went up and down the aisles, along the far side of the barn so that he could show me unusual trees. We discussed the pros and cons and generally, worked through my design preferences and his expertise until I reached a decision: 3 trees! All exquisite.
Joel was amazing today. Kind, patient, knowledgeable, generous, all of the qualities any business should want and encourage. Congratulations on hiring such a wonderful guy. I really, really, really appreciated him this afternoon. He even helped me get my trees into the car (which was no small feat as they weren’t babies).
Anyway, kudos to you folks. And, thanks again.

I'm not much of a gardener, but I genuinely love coming here. It's one of those places that's just peaceful to walk through. I could spend an hour just browsing everything.
I love seeing all the different flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees. It's especially cool to see what fruit trees and plants look like before they're fully grown or producing fruit. There's something really interesting about watching the different stages of growth and seeing how everything develops.
The garden decor, statues, and huge pots are another favorite of mine. They have so many unique and beautiful pieces that make you want to decorate your own yard, even if you don't have much of a green thumb.
Whether you're there to buy something or just wander around, it's a relaxing place to visit. It's visually beautiful, calming, and a nice reminder of how incredible nature is. Every time I leave, I feel a little more refreshed. I highly recommend stopping by, even if you're just looking for a peaceful place to browse.
Plan for more time than you're expecting.
This garden center is so much more than your average garden center. I realized I haven't done a review yet, although this is somewhere I usually visit when in the area. My friend that lives locally has introduced many friends/family to this store...it actually could be considered a destination. It is HUGE! Another friend went for the first time last weekend and I'm not sure if we spent 2 or 3 hours, but it could've been even longer, AND we skipped a few of the outside areas because of the weather.
Everything is beautiful, smells amazing, and so lovely to be inside the main store/greenhouse on rainy days.

I’ve always been a big fan of Mahoney’s Garden Center in Winchester, and when I was planning my wedding and found out they did wedding florals, I was intrigued. Out of all of the floral vendors I spoke to, they had the most competitive pricing, were the best communicators, and seemed to best understand my “vision” for the day. And wow did they deliver. The flowers could not have been any more perfect. We had dozens of guests ask where the florals were from or otherwise compliment them, and guests were clamoring to bring the centerpieces home at the end of the night. They were bright, fresh, arranged beautifully, and aligned exactly with the rest of the decor. I could not have been happier! Thank you to Rachel for being a great contact throughout the process, and Lisa for being the lead designer day of and executing this all beautifully. Thank you Mahoney’s!

Love Mahoney’s. They have a huge selection of everything. Regular staff is always super nice and helpful, go above and beyond to help you find what you’re looking for. The seasonal staff is, well, seasonal staff lol. They’re also nice, but often don’t have the info I need 😆. Lots of fun sculptures and garden decor. Be prepared to spend all your money 💸.
