Mahoney's is a beautiful part of Brighton that I hope stays here forever. Can you get cheaper annuals at Trader Joe's or a grocery store? Sure; and that's okay.
But- if you want to support a local gem with a staff that truly cares for the plants, has fair prices, and an extremely large selection of plants & outdoor products, go here!
All the things you need when it comes to gardening whether you are a beginner or a pro. Knowledgable attendants and pleasant service. It has all the varieties of plants and trees you need to add to your garden or landscape
This Mahoney's location is beautiful. There are a lot of parking spaces, but this location is usually pretty busy, so the lot might seem full. However, there should still be some spots open. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Got a hydrangea and a couple rhododendrons, plus some garden soil and mulch. The prices were relatively reasonable, and they even sent a very helpful transplanting guide through email after the purchase. Would definitely recommend!

Love this place. I buy all of my plants here. They have a wide selection of plants and I find the staff helpful. Plus it’s a beautiful place just to walk through since it’s been renovated.

These are immaculate
Out of all the place I go to get my gardening needs Christmas toys and great customer service was always smiling employees. They always have the top-of-the-line equipment and great knowledge, I’m going back for my Japanese maple tree. All in all this place is one of the best establishments to ever go to they will take care of everything you ever need.

Slava (I hope I am spelling his name right) is an incredible and very helpful staff member. Don't get me wrong, the store itself is beautiful and well stocked. But he went so out of his way to help me.
I was unsure how to deal with my plant that was not doing well at home, so I went in fully expecting to just buy a bunch of chemicals. I chatted with him and he talked me through all the options on what could be the problem, but said he would need to see a sample leaf to be sure. I came back when he was next working and showed him my specimen. Initially he thought it was just an issue with watering, and I walked off. But he then found me 5 whole minutes later after having found the source of my problem. He was clearly busy that day but he just was so kind and caring to come find me and chat with me about what was going on. Just such incredible service and a kind human being!
We recently visited the Mahoney's in Brighton in search of a jade plant. What a lovely and comprehensive facility! We immediately saw a showpiece mature jade plant but opted for a younger smaller plant. After choosing an appropriate clay pot, Mahoney's repotting service took care of giving the jade a new home ($5). People couldn't have been nicer but you could tell, they love their plants best! We'll be back!

A hidden oasis right in the middle of everyday life.
Mahoney’s Garden Center feels like stepping into a peaceful dream, a place where nature, art, and community blend together. The big glass-roof area brings the outdoors inside, with the sound of water fountains and little sculptures tucked among the greenery, even a meditating frog! Everywhere you turn, there’s something new and beautiful, colorful flowers, hanging trees, cacti, and unique pots.
We visited on a Saturday morning for their pumpkin-coloring event, and it was such a joy. Our three kids had a fantastic time with the artist who guided them, and we felt so welcomed by the wonderful staff, special thanks to Lenny and Salad (Sara) for being so kind and helpful!
As we wandered through, we found lovely plants, seeds, and Wabi Sabi-inspired pottery that reminded us of the beauty in imperfection and the calm of simplicity. There’s something deeply relaxing about this place, it invites you to slow down and breathe.
It’s not just a garden center; it’s an experience. Highly recommend for families, plant lovers, and anyone looking for a little peace and inspiration.
